30 Day Free Trial and New Features

We’ve had lots of great responses to Skydeck’s new features (check out the reviews) and lots of feature suggestions! Please keep them coming.

We’ve also been testing multiple price plans and combinations, including free trials, free and premium versions of the service, and gated access. For now we’ve settled on a 30-day free trial with unlimited access – that’s unlimited domestic calling in the US and unlimited voicemail transcription – so tell all your friends. (If you were not offered a free trial during the last two weeks of testing, we’ll be sending you an email to offer you one month free.)

If there’s one thing we hate more than dialing voicemail, it’s figuring out voicemail menus. We’ve just added a section to the ‘My Account’ page to let you manage your voicemail preferences from the web. You can choose text message alerts, email, or both, and you can even turn off transcription if you wish.

    In my quest to become a new user of SKYDECK I was quite pleased with the service and all of its features, (those available with the 30 day free trial). After 5-10 days of use and satisfaction I received an email stating that pre-paid service was not supported by SKYDECK. This service was quite capable of supporting my pre-paid (AT&T go-phone pay as you go) service for my short membership period so far so why all of a sudden was it not capable of continuing to do so? I am still able to make calls and send text messages from the web portal or dashboard, whatever you wish to call it. I have emailed customer service and have yet to receive a response any help or insight into this would be greatly appreciated contact me at mjword@adelphia.net if any one wishes to comment.

    Michael, I’m glad that you are enjoying Skydeck!

    We sent you an email to let you know that some features of Skydeck will not work for you because you have a prepaid account and you don’t have a Blackberry or Android phone. We want to make sure that everyone is happy, and give everybody an opportunity to cancel their service if they are not. But all the features that you mention in your comment and more will work fine for you, so if you are enjoying Skydeck just ignore that email.

  3. I am a new user to SKYDECK and several of my contacts have made updates to their account information on the original e-mail distribution. I am wondering how I can update on my phone only a select few entries that have been updated?

    Also, why is information that is standard on the BB Address Book such as PIN not a field that is included with your service? This is a VERY important field in my opinion as it is required to create a contact for BB Msgr.

    Fredric, welcome to Skydeck. Your phone will be updated automatically. It might not happen instantaneously. To save your battery life, the app on your phone doesn't check for updates to the website all the time.

    We agree that the PIN field is very important and we will support it in a future release.
