But in the last thirty days, Verizon agreed to buy Rural Cellular and Ramcell, AT&T agreed to buy Dobson, and T-Mobile announced that it was buying SunCom, all subject to regulatory approval. MetroPCS made a bid for Leap. For the record, no new cell phone networks launched in the US this month year.
