Skydeck’s Application Programming Interfaces or APIs enable third-party developers to build applications that extend the functionality of Skydeck. Applications can access your call history, the content of your text messages or voicemails, and your address book, but only with your explicit permission. Skydeck uses a standard called OAuth to exchange data with approved applications, and you never have to give them your Skydeck password or PIN. To check which applications you’ve given permission to access your data, go to My Account, and click on ‘Extending Skydeck’ in the menu on the left of the page. You can revoke that permission at any time by clicking ‘deauthorize’.
